Wondering if the GS65 Stealth 8SF 2070 comes with single or dual channel memory?

    Thanks!

You just recently bought a GT63, what happened?

Most new MSI laptops have shifted to 144hz panels, and they are IPS-like. I think they don't use the literal IPS symbols because of trademarks/tech but it has wide viewing angles. Thankfully thunderbolt has been adopted by MSI for most models as well.

The GS series is extremely portable, just recently got myself a GS75 and it's fantastic. Anyways, what happened to your GT63? not happy with it?

Seems like a gamble. For the most part I think the new GS65 models with 16 GB are most of the time single RAM dimm resulting in single channel memory, so you would need to upgrade your RAM as soon as possible to get dual channel memory.

But I have seen somewhere people with apparently two 8GB sticks. I would assume it is single channel config and go full 32GB dual stick.

If you (or anyone else) can find this, it'd be really helpful!

I would use Dragon Center but a few people in this thread have said it will override the CPU power limit mod in the BIOS...

    USB.JPG Guys!

I have a question on the USB ports. I thought the USB ports were supposed to be gen 3.1. Any clue why two of my USB ports are 3.0?

Yeah thats because of the consumer misinformation campaign by the guys making the USB standards.

    Originally there was 3.0 (5gbps)

    Then there was 3.1 which rebranded 3.0 as 3.1 gen 1 (5gbps) and introduced a faster standard 3.1 gen 2 (10gbps)

Now, there will be 3 speeds all named 3.2
    3.2 gen 1 (5gbps)
    3.2 gen 2 (10gbps)
    3.2 gen 2x2 (20gbps)

    Utter bs

So we basically have USB 3.1 gen 1? How does one check if it's gen 1 or gen 2?
