I notice the new asus zephorus has the ability to switch Optimus off and gsync on and vice versa. I know people have gotten. Non gysnc certified monitors working with gsync in the past. Anyone have any Ideas?

I am also very interested in this topic, but I have not found much information. I think it should be possible to activate Gsync but I do not see how. In fact I read rumors that MSI itself was going to activate it in some update.

New bios version 105 is up now with the changelog of 'Enabled dynamic media refresh rate'. Anybody know what is this about?

It’s different thing, there’s “media“ between it, probably something with intel iGPU. I don’t think non adaptive sync (g sync/freesync) panel can be updated by software to have the feature. Some Zephyrus has already g sync panel that can be Switch with optimus like previous Sager Laptop.

Not so sure about that. I agree that most of the time it has to be certified by Nvidia but that's mainly due to licensing fees they collect to certify the panel and does not always reflect the panels ability to perform.

Exact. Gsync is how nvidia calls her dynamic media refresh rate. The question is how to activate it, it is strange that they launch it without further explanations. But it coincides with the rumors I had read that MSI was going to support it, yesterday I cited it.
