I like about 30% but it also depends on how much nits we're talking about at 30% and 100% which varies from panel to panel. But I am picky about the brightness because I don't want my eyes to deteriorate due to bright light.

Does anybody know the make and model of the default NVMe SSD (128GB) that comes with this system? The BIOS lists it as a Toshiba, but that model number that's listed in the BIOS doesn't come up anywhere in a google search. I'm trying to figure out what drive to use for it when installing Win7.

Hey guys how's it going. Had this laptop for about a month now or so and gotta say I really like it, but I've been so busy I haven't gotten to sit down with it for a long session in a while.

Just wondering if the way the CPU fan behaves is normal? Sometimes when the fan is spinning at around 2500 to 3500 RPM, it will go completely quiet at 0 RPM, and after 3-4 seconds the fan will start spinning up again at a loud 4500-4800 RPM then steadily drop back down to 2500-3500. Checking the speed in the Dragon Gaming Center software. This is only on the CPU fan, the GPU fan doesn't have this behavior. The stop-and-start is pretty annoying, why is it dropping to 0?

This is possibly a fan table issue so you can probably try updating the EC firmware to the latest version, or you can ask Svet to create a custom-made EC firmware for you instead which will suit your needs.

    Hi everyone,

How about 1080p panel in GS60-6QE?

Is PLS made by Samsung or IPS made by LG Philips?

I use about 30%, it's too bright at 100% desktop mode, in gaming though I usually put the brightness at full.

Edit: mine is the matte 1080p panel

In my office(which is very bright) I use 100% to remove the glare(3k glossy panel). Otherwise at home it's around 50%

Thank you! That's not how it's listed in the BIOS, so that will help a bit I think. I hope.
