I am not getting anywhere with installing Windows 7. I've tried two times with the hotfix included in the install media, and both times bluescreened with an nvmexxx.dll error. There are several guides on the net (though none are specific for this particular laptop), but so far I haven't found one that works.

    Has anybody?

Why do you want Windows 7 so badly? Win8 was bad, but Windows 10 isn't that far removed from Win7...

Because I'm not a fan of Windows 10. I thought I said that already. ;)

Hello Guys... I Just received My GS60 Ghost Pro-002 yesterday. And it looked so Nice! I installed HWmonitor to check my overall temps but to my surprise, HWmonitor is showing i5 CPU instead of i7 CPU. But when I opened the device manager, it shows i7-6700HQ as the CPU. Does this happen to anyone?

You're probably using outdated software. Older versions cant read Skylake models correctly

Has anyone done the update to windows 10 for the 970m 6gb model? I see that there are drivers but I'm curious as to the performance vs 8.1

Performance should be similar but you are set up for future titles.

Performance is just about identical, although DirectX 12 is Win 10 exclusive.

The HWMonitor that I am using is the latest version 1.28 from CPUID. What I found was that the Free version of HWmonitor PRO stated the correct CPU version (i7-6700HQ) lol.jpg
