Even the new modern AW flagship from last year struggle keep the pace against 5 years old Clevo's. Only 50 points lacks and I could match the 5.0GHz CBR-15 score with stock clocks. This is just sad.

CBR15 score from 9900K@5.0 in the Area-51m is all too low.

I'm saving up some cash for desktop rig that can outpace your score. Depending on Tax and other things, it might be Threadripper 3 or 3950x with Gigabyte Aorus Master or TR3 equivalent with AX200/201 Killer Wifi, 64/128GB RAM.

    Hi,
I have P870DM-G from Sager. I thought I could easily install Prema mod, but I'm waiting for four years...
When I'm buying it, I didn't know you supply the bios to HID evolution and Eurocom only. How can I get the Prema mod?
I want to upgrade my pc with 8700k and Quadro P5200 if possible. 8700k upgrade is not a must but P5200 is crucial for me as a cad designer. Would you please help me?

    Regards,

Due to abuse of his code he doesnt share that information anymore.

You can install the 8700k with the dsanke BIOS, not sure about the p5200 though.

Wondering if anyone can share the specs of the additional capacitors used to beef up the cpu power delivery circuit?

I have dead Clevo motherboards I could pull smd components from.

P870dm is on the way, along with a spare motherboard (in case mods go wrong) and a Clevo 1070.

Im hoping to run an ES 8700T QN8H (to stay within a reasonable budget)

Edit: might actually aim for the i5 9600kf due to the unlocked multiplier :

Hi. I believe @Khenglish posted the information. However, you probably will not need to bother with that. @Papusan is running an overclocked 9900K in his with no problems.

Edit: @moral hazard - have fun with your project. Sorry I forgot to say that, bro.

Appreciate the kind words (and all the R&D people like yourself have put into these machines)!

I think it's an ideal thing to get stuck into over winter (here in Australia).

The heatsink mod will be the most challenging part.

Also the more I read the more in unsure if the 9600kf is worth the extra money over the ES 8700T (to gain overclocking but lose HT), leaning towards the 9600kf.

Wondering what the max daily clock would be achievable on the 9600kf, I'd imagine it's not 5ghz.

My pleasure. It's the sharing of experience that is the most fun with this stuff.

@Papusan can tell you what he is doing as a daily driver overclock with his P870DM-G's 9900K.
