    lol

But I look at the price and feel better again, thats waaay too steep a cost for me to justify, plus I like having 15TB in my main machine.

I do really want a hex core proc but I still have performance to tap into in this machine first.

Yeah I still want to hit 4.5Ghz on the 4930mx especially if I cant get the 4980hq working. That I can still make the 1070 150w to see if I cant get it closer to 1070Ti, then RAM to 2400Mhz

Great, I'm still waiting for mine to arrive.
I want to sand off middle frame module, to give that small fins ontop heat pipes (on the left from main ones cooled by the fan) some breathing room, just like in original TM frame.
    Did you modify it too?

Yep, that's what we did back then on our P870DM3's.
Dremmeled (completely cut) the middle frame and CPU stand-offs to fit the TM CPU cooler and the top frame for the third M.2 port of the newer KM boards.

Can`t say anything about performance difference (didn`t compare them) but I doubt there is any.
As far as compatibility, clocks, states, temps and general operating everything is fine, 100% compatibility.
Recommended (after all it`s the newest one).
