For those who are interested to organize their mxm card collection, there is a 3D design I made for regular 82mm width card
There is two tray of 5 slot each

And where can I buy this?
It looks like from front to back the cards are 9600m, 1080, 680m, 5870m, 680m, 680m, 980m, 680m, 580m? Impressive collection. I'm guessing you tried to save them all at some point?
It's a 3D printed thing, so you need to find someone or a service that can print it for you, card are pretty loose in it but it doesn't bother me
I don't think I have to much, compared to desktop card (atm I have nearly 10 desktop card sitting only on my desk...), in the picture there is from front to back :
- HP Quadro P600 (from desktop workstation, might work, never tested in "know working" laptop)
- Zotac GTX1080 (same issue as the P600 + fixed memory lane)
- Dell GTX880M (I think it has some issue of stability, can't OC more than 50MHz, seems strange to me)
- Dell Firepro M6100 (stock M6800 card)
- MSI GTX780M (not working)
- MSI GTX675MX (I believe, not working)
- MSI GTX980M 4GB (shorted/burned pcb at the mxm, easy fix but I need to dig a little bit into the pcb to clear this)
- Dell Quadro K4000M (stock M6700 card)
- R9 M290X (not working)
Not on the picture are :
- GTX980M 8GB waiting for 980 core
- Quadro P4000 in my M6700
- MSI GTX570M in my GT70
- GTX880M with memory shorted I think.
As you can see most are not working and the few working are from upgraded/dead laptop, most Kepler will be used as test subject for swaping core, Maxwell card will be upgraded to 970 or 980 core.
Buying dead card isn't really expensive, all the card on the picture cost me less than 200€, Zotac 1080 included (traded for a fixed 970M bought for cheap). I like to buy cheap and dead to fix it, even if I don't need it, I always say it's for hwbot but benching graphics card with an old 6 core ivy bridge doesn't make high score even with high clock/volt so that's not really worth it :/
I have upgrade my M15x from 260m to M6100 MXM and brightness setting is not working ... is it normal ?
RTX 2060 power modded to 135W (1 mOhm shunts piggy backed on top of existing 0.5mOhm shunts) in P150EM modded for direct eDP output:
Clevo 20 series power delivery is NOT as good as 10 series. The card is struggling on 4 of 8 core phases with the power mod (2060 pcb only has 4 phases while the 2080 has 8). A 1080 with half of its core phases would be a FET modded 980m, which I pulled up to 270W with no problem. Also the MXM power tab is completely unused on 20 series boards, which is astounding considering how much power loss the power cable has without the MXM tab doing anything. That's 8 amps going through those 4 small wires for a regular 2080.
The plan is to try to get the parts to add the missing power phases and memory. If anyone can source any dead boards I can salvage I would appreciate it.

You just need a Max-Q vbios to add it. Does anyone have one? I would pay for it!
Does anyone know this? 86.04.8B.00.7A (MSI).... is already on its way. Ebay shopping.
So far (green 115W) I have used Eurocom 1070. He's dead, I'll switch now.
Will I have a picture? Because there is Optimus, unlocked bios.(LVDS,eDP)
