These Chinese eBayers are doing highway robberies. 1300 For an old and non-standard shape GPU is too much. The thing has been on ebay for almost a year. I was looking for an hp quadro P4200 mxm so I can flash its vbios with a Dell and use it on the m17x r4. After feasibility research, I discovered that it did not support the vbios flash because HP designed It without an EEPROM. The same hp quadro P4200s mxm have since dropped the price from $8xx to $5xx after more than a year of listing. I wish Dell had not purchased Alienware. My new plan is to purchase a 2060 thunderbolt-3 laptop and eGPU system to be connected to an external monitor. The eGPU will be loaded with a desktop quadro or rad pro.

Yep, I noticed also that the Quadro Px200 mxm, Quadro RTX mxm, and the GeForce RTX mxm have different form factors if someone pays attention! What a f@ck from Dell!

Why would you buy a P4200 when you can just get a 1070

I assume he wants the Quadro drivers with the Quadro features.
Gotta love how nVidia crippled workstation features on their gaming cards.
AMD does it too with OpenGL which kind of sucks even more.

For running apps such as ANSYS, Solidworks, and other CFD and FEA programs. A 1070 is depressing when running these apps and causes the computer to crash for certain futures.
Take a look at this comparison (P4000 MXM vs. GTX 1070 MXM) for example:

you can get at a relatively good price a P4000, I got mine (HP bandred but with eeprom soldered on it, like the 1070, I flashed a Dell vbios without issues) for 300 eur (which is like 330 usd), I think the quadro P4200 is not a great choice, memory bandwidth is way too slow for this fast card.
For sure the P4200 have more core and boost higher, that makes it a lot faster than the P4000, however the P4000 is runs very cool (about 65~70w in game)

    P4000 is between a 1060/1070. P4200 is between 1070/1080 (in theory)

I was also thinking about getting an HP P4000 mxm since I can't find a Dell quadro. How do you flash the Dell vbios?

So...running Optimus will get the black pcb 1070 to work on a lvds system?

Does anyone have a vbios and inf file for this card? Installed in a clevo p377sm-a, just trying to get the driver installed and recognised by device manager.

Link to where I purchased the card. https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Dell-H...248714?hash=item2abc16f98a:g:mPQAAOSwkR5c64Og

It's a dell card so do I need to flash it with a msi bios?

You have to flash it with the clevo's 1070 vbios since you said that you installed it in a clevo. You should get more information if you go to clevo forums/discussions.

I advise not to flash Clevo vbios on the "ebay" black pcb 1070 as the TDP is much lower than the one of the Clevo...
Just use the inf mod driver and it will work like a charm.
