    That's what I would expect. Unless I'm mistaken there aren't any zotac laptops so they wouldn't bother to enable functions that a desktop would never use. Which is where these cards are typically sourced from.

    IIRC, there was an upgrade thread on these forums where somebody used a Zotac 1070 flashed with MSI vBIOS to get the screen to show.

    shoot...i was getting excited there for a moment. vram chips outside of standard mxm 3.0b dimensions, screw holes out of alignments and SMDs dont follow standard quadro layout. damn.

    well alright, one screw hole should suffice to keep the card down, a bit of chassis modification could get those vram chips in place and the heatsink would need to be modified for the SMDs....

    it look like dell but they stopped producing "standard" mxm gpu since 8th gen intel, I don't think it's HP because it has a bios soldered on it (and on pascal there was no bios on it)
    I asked PNY a week or two and they said that RTX MXM card will be available on Q4 2019 for their partners
