    Unsurprising. They have a habit of baiting people into shelling out money for "tests" so that they can advertise compatibility. That way they profit whether the card works or not.

    would they at least offer the hardware at a discount for the buyer taking a risk as a guinea pig?

    Usually yes, but not much Example: testing a new GTX 1060 they would discount the price to 500 instead of 650

    i guess not. only route to consider is to sell off the card. but then without the possibility of vouching / demonstrating its full functionality... quite the conundrum!

    not bad! thats +31% total score / +34% gpu score / +25% physics score / +23% combined score compared with my 980M (stock) / 7700K (4.8 Ghz) setup :)

    Would love to hear if that RX 480 works on the eDP signal, iirc they are much cheaper than a 1070 (even though obviously performance is also lesser) but the principle being cheaper and for a broke uni student that is a key factor for now lol
