    Sorry, I'm not talking about the screws that hold the MXM card in place. Those are standard M.2 screws (the exact same screws that hold the case cover in place too).

    I'm talking about the screws that screw into the heatsink to secure the heatsink on the CPU and GPU.

    Does anyone here know what exact screws those are and what to order from that laptopscrews.com

    Here are the screws that pretty much screw into most of the MSI Chassis, including M2 slots and secure the mxm card and even the VRM heatsink in place:

    http://www.laptopscrews.com/M2x4.htm

    But I'm looking for the bigger screws (as shown in the screenshot I linked) that secure the *HEATSINKS* in place.

    Anyone know the measurements?

    @bloodhawk @Mr. Fox @Papusan ? :(

    As I said the screws I bought are for the x-bracket to hold the heatsink to the gpu die.

    The screws came in a pack of 50. If they work I'll be happy to forward some over.

    I replaced all of the screws inside of the DM3 I sold to Dr. AMK with stainless steel pan head screws. They were not very magnetic and easy to drop, but much harder, far more resistant to stripping out, and had a deeper Philips slot than the wafer head screws. It was a huge improvement over the soft and crappy quality original equipment laptop screws.

    I'm still gonna give the hex head screws a try and see if they work for me.

    Allen-head? Yeah, they should work just fine. I did not know that is what you ordered.

    the key/wrench size for the screws is 1.5mm cos they're metric hex screws and the key is small & thin enough that I could just tape it to the inside of the case without losing it.

    EDIT: Plus I can get enough leverage on the key to make it easier to screw and unscrew. My belief is that the hex design is less prone to stripping compared to a phillips head due to the amount of surface contact the hex has over the phillips. so it should make it easier to manage. I think this should be standard....but whatevs.
