Haven't had a lot to be happy about lately. But I have a full week off work and no skool at the same time.

And my semester grades came in. B for both Physics and Statics.

Great job! Now play some PolyBridge or Portal Bridge Constructor to practice your statics skills. :p

I thought I got rid of all my old LP's, but was sorting through my things, and found these guys. :)

Dinner came out exceptionally well last night. When I purchased a beef tenderloin yesterday it was in a vacuum pack, so I didn't know if it was going to be long and slender or thick and fat. Turned out to be the latter and made for some great baseball cuts, rendered the fat to cook the steaks in a cast iron skillet, with only a Santa Maria style dry rub added, S&P.

    Suzie Q dry rub.

But what was the real star was the Belgium endive au gratin. Slicing the endive vertically and gently sweating them down in the skillet with a little of the beef fat, then putting it into a baking dish with a couple tablespoons of diced Virginia ham, heavy cream, a couple dollops of butter, and bread crumbs on top. Has some yellow oyster mushrooms on each plate along with a sweet potato. It all turned out exceptionally well even by my standards.

My son really wants to go to a vocaloid concert and I'm planning to go for a summer trip to NYC next year, so I'm going to see if I can coordinate that! I would be father of the year to him if I could make that happen.
