    Sweet baby Jebus, it's already Thursday! This means that tomorrow is Friday, which in turn means that weekend is almost here! Ooooooh yiiiis!

    I am supposed to do some pre-interview tests for the Natural Sciences course at the University of Cambridge. It contains a biology segment, and being a physics and mathematics student through and through, I was worried that I'd have to learn the entirety of pre-university biology. Turns out I only need to answer a few out of all the questions in the paper, which means I can skip biology.

    My Kobe Beef cooking was a success! Whew! Tricky beef it is.

    1.5 inch thick steak 4oz. Let sit out of fridge for 30 minutes.

    Put skillet on high heat for 5 minutes. Put in clarified butter just enough for a very thin layer on bottom of pan.

    Seared both sides for 2 minutes in a HOT cast iron skillet. Put it in the oven at 400F for 2 minutes. Let sit for 4 minutes. Was still a bit cold in middle actually. But I cut in slices and seared both sides for literally one second. Sprinkled with just a dash of flaked sea salt, and it was DELICIOUS.

    Nooice! Clarified butter...:vbthumbsup: I was thinking of suggesting that, but thought it might be a little too much for you. If the center was a tad cool, that's perfect, and what is called cooking it 'blue'.

    Might be going to Golden Corral for either lunch or dinner tomorrow. While generally not a big deal, the fact that their prices seem to be higher each time I go makes it a bit of a treat.

    We have one that opened up near to where we live very recently, and went once with my wife, then again with our son. Gluttonous Americana style buffet - lot of carbs and fried food offerings. Their fried chicken is decent and so is their fried fish. Desserts are over sweetened with too much sugar. Not for me.

    Now this time it was his fault, missing both the field goal at the end of halftime and at the end of the game.


    They couldn't sell out their home opened with a 30k seat capacity!
