    Large majority of the community tends to agree that it is never worth it to pay for antivirus.

    Anyone else using Bitdefender?

    Coupled to ad block plus and common sense, it has worked well.

    Another free AV, Charity antivirus which is using the bitdefender engine.
    It seems to be light on system resources too with a minimalist user interface.

    I'm using Windows Defender at the moment. Not particularly fussed about it.

    AV is just another attack vector these days. I'm just rolling with MSE which can be bad enough (MS just had to fix it). Probably the best thing you can do is just run a MalwareBytes scan once in a while (daily?).

    I did have Malwarebytes installed but I ran out the free trial it got uninstalled :p
