At the moment we have the following:

    T61, T61p - 22 downloads.
    X61, X61s - 7 downloads.
    X61, X61s SXGA+ - 3 downloads.
    X61 Tablet - 7 downloads.

Don't know why people don't post their test results here.

It makes no sense. You'll hardly notice the difference between 1.5 Gb/s and 3.0 Gb/s, using a usual HDD. Only SSD can benefit from increasing SATA II interface speed.

Just came here to thank you so much for your effort!!

Just installed modified 2.22-1.03 bios on X61s and first impressions are very good. Have a X25-M and read speeds jumped a lot :))

Yes That's what I am saying... I reckon SDD belongs to HDD.

    Thank you very much, middleton!
My T61 & Corsair F120 finally are working as they should be. The SSD was max-ed at 130MB/s previously.

    Thank you, Middleton!!

My T61(8889AL1) SLIC 2.1 is ok, But Thermal_Sensing_Error of bios has not been enabled. So the cpu fan is running all the time. And the function of IDA and SATA II can't be verified.

I came to say thank you for this and to give some info on my experience.

I have a ThinkPad X61 with an OCZ Vertex 2 drive. Here is the full info:

    Here is the "Before" benchmarks:

and, after applying the modified BIOS (2.21-103):

So, I saw some improvement, but I think I am still not near at the theoretical maximum. Anybody have any suggestions for improving this more under Windows 7 64-bit?

Personally, I don't think the vertex 2 is as fast as OCZ claims to be. I too (as well as a few friends) have a vertex 2 120GB and it doesn't perorm nearly as fast as the Intel SDDs.

I think we'll need to purchase an Intel drive to see actual promised speeds :)

Installed on X61t. No problems so far. Installing a 32nm shrink of X25-m 160gb later today. We'll see then.
