I installed the B140HAN01.2 in a Lenovo L440. I will say that it does have the snow/sparkle effect. When compared to my T440s, I can easily see the difference. The T440s display is smooth and the colors are perfect. On the L440, the colors are great but I can see the coating is producing a sparkling effect.

All T440s come with eDP connector. You are good to go.

I just did it. I replaced my HD+ screen with the FHD one. A week ago i orderd from aliexpress the AOE 1.2 version. Replacing the screen was one of the scariest things I done lately..

but.. i regret nothing, love the screen now!

Go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Monitor, double-click it and go to the "Details" tab. Change the drop down to "Hardware IDs". You should find something usable (to google) there. If it says: "LEN40A3", it's the LG screen.

Mine is showing "LEN40A3". That means I have the LG Screen.

But when I checked in the BIOS, show says
    Manufacturer: "AUO".
    Manufactured date: 2012, week 0
    Model number: B140HAN01.2
    Resolution: 1920 X 1080 pixels
