I did this replacement after reading many comments, even on this forum, and I am still amazed of the picture quality difference, the IPS panel is so much nicer.
But I am not completely satisfied, as apparently I will not be able to use the display, as it starts to flicker immediately after the power cord gets pulled out.
So if it runs from power, everything is fine, but as long as I want to use it as a portable laptop, it becomes unusably annoying.

I suspect this might be related to power issues, as the new display would draw a higher current, but I cannot confirm this. On the other hand it seems to be related to the driver, as if the official driver is not installed, the flickering is not present.
Can anyone let me know if there is a solution for this problem?

are you using 9 cell battery or the 6 cell? On my T430 with quad core, 1600x900 dedicated graphics and intel 6300 wifi card, on 6 cells. I get power issues. 9 Cell battery gets rid of many of my issues

No problem. I don't think it is battery related, however it could be anything. I'd rather blame the driver.

Yes. i already have Lg ips( standard hd screen was replaced by other owner of t431s). it has dead pixel and quality is not best but works without flickering.

Also i found some post about video refresh rate. ot might work for us.
will try when i will come back to home:

video "refresh rate" is switching between 60hz ( on AC power ) and 50Hz on battery. under Monitor settings, set the screen refresh rate to 50hz. after applying these settings blinking problem gets fixed
