The review on this site as well as others out of Computex say the T430S with i7 gets a Thunderbolt port, but this can't be confirmed on Lenovo's site. I built one on lenovo.com and it also doesn't confirm the availability of Thunderbolt, and I did the chat thing with their support and they denied any Thunderbolt port available on the T430S model.

I also noticed that the Nvidia GPU can't be configured either, although it is mentioned on the web site as an option.

Is there any idea when/if this can be had with a Thunderbolt port?

They mentioned a while ago that only the i7 would come with Thunderbolt, but no one has seen a model with it yet.

I bought mine without TB, seemed somewhat pointless for me at the moment, seeing that I have nothing to connect to via TB.

Do you think this means that T430s with Integrated graphics (HD4000) will have the Thunderbolt port?

It probably means that the combo port is available on the i7 models (when you select i7 as processor choice).
It also justifies the $190 premium on the i7 option compared to i5, since both processors are dual core with minor performance differences, as demoed in benchmarks. They only differ in cache size (1M) and max graphics clock (50Hz, AFAIK)

I'd order an i7 today if I can confirm. My need for Thunderbolt is for work related reasons not for personal use.

I can't confirm if the Nvidia is needed either, and no one at Lenovo can verify if I order the i7 today whether it comes.

I talked to a sales rep, and he confirmed the i7 does ship with it now.

How can Lenovo be such a mess?
NO spec for T430s(saying coming soon) even after people can order it ?!?!
NO sign of TB(seems to be a big advantage) whatsoever on the website except the vague mention on the internal pdf that nobody reads...

    Come on..lenovo
