T430s - Unplugging or Plugging Power Supply Causes Display to Flicker on and Off?

    Anyone experiencing when you plug or unplug your power supply that the Display turns off and on? Any solutions out there. Thanks

    I've been wondering that as well, whether it's ok for the screen to flicker when it's plugged in or out.

    Sounds like it's changing the refresh rate of the screen. (50 hz on battery to 60 hz while plugged in.) Assuming this is what you're experiencing, you can change it to run at 60 hz while on battery and it won't have to change the refresh rate of the screen.

    Ah yes, that was the culprit. Go to Intel's "Graphic Options", then Power, then select Power Source as Battery. Then disable the following setting:

    Display Refresh Rate Switching


    Alternatively, some people have experienced the screen switching to 50 Mhz on its own, outside of their control (unlikely to be the problem anymore, and wasn't the issue for me). You can read more about it here:
