Ive reinstalled the Hotkey software off the Lenovo website on at least 5 different occasions. Used 3.40, 3.33 and still no go. The onscreen shows up fine when i use the volume up and down toggle and mute. However when doing Fn + F5 it refuses to turn on bluetooth. Fn + Home (brightness up) or Fn + End (brightness down) doesnt do anything. Same with others like Fn + F4 wont put the computer to sleep either.

Reason this is bugging the hell out of me is because I cant install the Bluetooth Enhanced software, it keeps telling me there is no bluetooth device because its shutoff. There doesnt seem to be any way to get this to turn on.

So I basically seem to be screwed at this point.

Background info is that its running Win7 Enterprise with SP1 64bit with 4gig of Ram.

Further messing around i got the Bluetooth finally turned on by going to the "C:\Program Files\Lenovo\HOTKEY" directory and lauching the file "TpFnF5.exe"

It brought up the onscreen display and turned on the bluetooth.

However the problem still exists. I still cant get the Fn + F5 to actually bring up the menu on the screen to do things directly. Other items like Fn+F4 still dont work, Fn+F6 dont work, Brightness dont work, The LED light works.

Do any of the Fn + Fx combos work? This is a long shot, but your Fn key may be broken.

Yes it definitely works, as I mentioned in the previous post the LED light comes on just fine with I do Fn+PgUp (which turns the LED light on). Fn+ScrLk works (which turns on numlock as well).

It just dont make sense why the Fn key works but it doesnt call the items it needs to which seems to be that it needs to call these executables like the one I mentioned about TpFnF5.exe, TpFnF6.exe, etc.

It was designed for Windows 7. Why do you need hotkeys for a server? By the way, the reason bluetooth doesn't work has nothing to do with the hotkey software.

Windows7 Enterprise is Windows7 for business PCs, you can read up on this link Windows 7 Enterprise | The most advanced business operating system for PCs

The hotkey WAS the reason why bluetooth wasnt working because the Bluetooth radio was off, therefore Bluetooth software wouldnt install. As I mentioned before, I launched the TpFnF5.exe and it brought up the onscreen menu to turn on/off the wifi radio and bluetooth radio (just as the hotkey Fn+F5 supposed to do) and I was able to turn on the bluetooth and installed Bluetooth Enhanced software.

What did you install to get that file? I have the Exact folder, but there are no executables in it.

    oops. HA!

When I read enterprise, my brain changed it to Windows Server. Weird. My bad. If it was server it won't work.

Yea, no reason it shouldn't work for Win7.

    too much work today!!! :(

I just installed the Hotkey 3.40.0000 driver from Lenovo and that directory shows up with those executables.

I worked on this for 6hrs doing a ton of stuff and turned it off late last night and just turned it on now and what pissed me off just now? It FLIPPING all works now!

Man........Guess sometimes you do need sleep on it to fix it.

Look in C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\HOTKEY\OSD\F5 or better is to search for TpFnF5 on your C drive if OS is on C drive.By the way many thanks to Dixit as i also had same problem, bluetooth was not turning on by Fn + f5 and i searched for TpFnF5 and it really exist, an executable file which let you toggle you wireless radios
