The reviews I read/watched said it was much better but with some fatal flaws. The touch issues also seemed to have carried forward from the first which doesn't help matters.

I remain interested in the duo 4...

Here's more love but from Tomsguide's editors.

    Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is one big foldable fail — here's why tomsguide.com | Nov 14, 2021

Two 5.3-inch screens don't add up to one big workspace on this quasi-foldable phone...

When you review products, right away you begin to recognize that not everything that comes across your desk is going to be built with your specific needs in mind. So when assessing a device like the Surface Duo 2, you have to set aside your own biases and focus on whether the product you're looking at addresses the demands of its target audience. In that regard, it's difficult to see the Surface Duo 2 as anything but a well-intentioned failure.

Why failing time after time exactly as they do with their newest Windows OS? It's in their blood? @Mr. Fox @jclausius

The Redmond Reprobates clearly seem to have an agenda that most of us are unable to relate to. It is like they are speaking a foreign language that I do not understand. On top of that, I don't want to understand and it doesn't interest me. If they want me to care, then they need to speak my language and communicate on my terms. I am not interested in communicating on their terms, or in their language. Otherwise, it's a hard pass for me. Thanks, but no thanks... I have no need for the trash they are peddling.

I have no idea who's in the market for such a device. If I want a tablet sized device, I'll buy a tablet. I don't want a phone sized item that unfolds into a tablet unless the video display is one continual layout, and it appears there's a gap in that it's two displays with some bevel or whatever in between the two displays. Very odd design decisions.

I recall years back, I used Windows Phones since the early Nokias. I even bought a 950XL when Microsoft got rights to the Lumia name, and loved that thing. Then it went away as rumors of a "Surface Phone" were swirling, Microsoft dropped support, and Windows Phone OS is no more. It was simple, effective, and I wish they'd have kept it up. My old 950XL nowadays won't even run most apps I did have as the apps are flagged as in need of an update, but it can't update because the store ecosystem is gutted.

... Then to see this as the "answer." Running Google-OS and farting its way through? Kinda a bummer!

Totally agree. Windows Phone OS running on Nokia was excellent. Much better than any Android or crApple iOS garbage, including their top dog flagship models. It was super-stupid that the Redmond Reprobates dropped support for it. They seem to be great at avoiding their successes and repeating their failures. The more they strive to become more like crApple, the more they suck. Their fatal error is the assumption that PC users like Macs. There are certainly some that do, but most loathe everything about crApple. Either the idiots at Micro$lop assume most PC users like what they like, or they are just sadistic bastards that intentionally do stupid things to Windows to make their customers hate them more.
