    Hi,

In terms of quantum mechanics and cooper pairs and stuff, how exactly does superconductivity work? I can't find an explanation on the web that I can really get my teeth into. A link or explanation would be very much appreciated.

In Cooper pairs, increase in density of charge carriers...leads to increased current as opposed to normal conductors which do not have electron-electron interaction through a phonon field.
