    Yeah, active when notification comes in and then inactive once you close the notification would be good. I love my S7 edge too. I just don't like the "edge swipe" features. Thought I'd like it but not a fan. Too many inadvertent swipes of the edge apps when holding the phone.

    can you give me examples of apps that you want to give you notifications? like for me, if I get a charge on a credit card, I don't need any app to notify me I get an SMS :eek:

    @Vasudev

    What phone do you have? I don't recommend you root your device if you don't have a lot of experience with it you may brick your device.

    This must be a new feat. they added in 6.0. My phone with 5.1 does not have that option in Dev.
    Honestly, this should have been a feature from the beginnings of Android.

    Well, this is the thing CyanogenMod roms(aka lineage os roms) offer since the starting. My motog falcon had around 1.5 hours of gaming time(on the stock lollipop 5.1).

    The next day i flashed CM13 nightly build and just seen drastic improvement. The phones whose performance have been drastically increased with these roms are all samsung phones, oneplus, nokia, and those nubia phones.

    Give these os a try. And your life will change;)

    I installed it on Samsung Core prime with LineageOS 14.1 and I get 13 days of battery without SIM and actively use Jio4gVoice.

    Nope, twrp can use the rom file on your phone storage. Also, to root the stock OS , you need to get your bootloader unlocked. That shouldn't br much hassle
