Looking for a nice antiglare display to keep connected to my PMD. I would like it to be fully compatible (1920x1080) so I dont have to tinker around with refresh rates. 20" - 27" would be nice, but I am looking for opinions from the horde here.

I know Dell makes that nice 30", but would you reccomend one of their smaller ones as well?

    Thanks in advance!

    Dell u2312hm
Search it, it's a great e-ips 23" screen with 1920x1080 and all these prof. ergonomic features, nice looks awesome image quality and good service for a reasonable price. Once you got such a thing on your desk, youll never return to TN displays.

Just purchased two U2212HM 21.5" Dells for my desk with use on my Z1. They're AWESOME! I found that anything bigger in my space will be too big for me. Also, with a smaller display and still being 1080p, I get slightly better pixel density.

Edited to add: These displays are literally the exact same that pyr0 posted except 21.5" instead of 23". Price wise, they're very similar with the 23" being roughly $20 more expensive.

I recommend their 24" series only because it's 1920x1200 vs 1920x1080 (just more vertical space for easier use and stuff) Otherwise, you can't go wrong with them!

Are there any issues with running a 1980X1200 screen and having Windows rearrange your icons when you plug the monitor in? I found that's the most annoying issue when I plugged my Z into a 1366X768 monitor. Stuff gets rearranged all over the place so to save hassle I just went for 1080 screens to match my notebook's display.

That was the main reason for me to pick a 1080p screen on my CTO Z. Every screen shows exactly the same - internal LCD, desktop screen, TV.

A friend of mine has the same issue, he reports that http://www.highrez.co.uk/scripts/download.asp?package=ShellIconRestore works great.

If you're adamant about 1080p then Dell U2312 is really what you want to go for. The improved eye comfort provided by the contrast & viewing angles of the IPS screen is worth the extra money.

I've got both a U2311 (last years 1080p model) and a U2412 (1920*1200), they're both brilliant, and since I never put icons on the desktop Windows won't be shoving them around. Keep in mind this shoving will only happen if you place icons in the lowest 120px of the screen, since those pixels don't "exist" on the 1080p screen.

Actually, I have the 1600x900 screen and going to a 1080p external monitor doesn't mess it up because my icons are at the same places in the 1600x900 pixel rectangle starting from the top left side of the screen. So i would expect if you went from your internal 1080p screen to an external 1200p screen, the screen would only get longer and not actually move any icons. I hated when i was at work and had to use the 720p projectors... messed all my icons up :(
