He's done some incredible work with the M18x R2. Pascal/Turing high tier MXM cards are still way too expensive for me to test out in my M18x R2. While SNB/IVB can still be useful in 2020, they are starting to show their age even with ridiculous overclocks. Given how power hungry Ampere is, I doubt we will see anything remotely resembling a MXM 3.0B card. Quadro P5200 was the last high powered card to keep within that form factor.

We might see something else in the future. ;)

P4000 is a good card right now for $200. I just bought one and had some ebay bucks so cost me less than $200. Will be adding it to my M18xR2 and getting rid of 780M SLI.

Also waiting for my NVMe MXM adapter to ship.

    Full speed.

Only like five of us have the adapters. They were special order and idk if any more will be made.

Months ago, there was a rumor we'd see Turing GPUs frankensteined onto standard form factor MXM boards this month. I think you were the one who mentioned this if I rmember correctly.

I'd like to see an Ampere card make it to standard MXM form factor, but I won't keep my hopes up. It'd be awesome if I could stick a Turing card in my Ranger, but even if Pascal is the end of the road for this laptop, it was still a good run. I definitely got my money's worth.

PNY is apparently still working on it, although 2020 release date is getting shakier by the minute. I'm not loosing my hope though.
