ExpressCard runs at a 2.0 X1 speed compared to a MPCIE 3.0x1, and then you have the stutter and lag that comes along with it, and I use my ExpressCard slot for a USB 3.0 anyways. If I needed more than a M6100, I would buy a new MXM GPU or just sell it and buy a M6700/M6800, or even a newer machine.

I wonder what upgrades are possible with that GPU, it does have an SLI connector IIRC

I was thinking it was the MSI 1080, which does have an SLI connector, and the 1070's odd form factor, but has a flipped GPU core

No, the M6600 was released in the first half of 2011. The FirePro in question was released 2 years later. It was not a launch option.

And, I happen to have a 2720qm I just got to bump it up. My memory was running at 1333, and i was wondering why since this laptop SHOULD support 1600, but turns out its the mem controller on the i5! So a 2720 will give me full 1600 mhz, and i can use the other 2 dimm slots, because the i5 will only work 2. I'm excited.

For what? The top VRMs would have most heatsinks needing to be modded, and if it's anything like the older one, it can't handle high OCs
