    Hey!

So yesterday I took the whole laptop apart, cleaned out all the dust build up, cleaned and reapplied thermal paste to both the CPU and the GPU.

The stuttering issue has now gone and I can play games without any issue. One thing that has happened though is that the display stays black when I power on the laptop.

I plugged a HDMI in to the HDMI OUT port to an external display and it came up fine. When I unplugged the HDMI cable the laptop screen came on fine, very strange. So it doesn’t come on when first powered on but will come back after attaching and removing a HDMI cable.

I have taken it apart and checked the display connectors and they are fully seated so I’m not sure what’s happened.

    Any ideas?

Might need to reseat the GPU again or check the LVDS cable. You can remove the GPU with the heatsink attached to reseat so you don't have to apply thermal paste again.

But if it's a minor issue, you can leave it alone.

The high heat temps might have caused some degradation in your cards which can cause issues.
