Hi Everybody. I have a very strange touchpad issue on my Clevo Laptop and i already searched the net for something similar but cannot find anything. The touchpad is working but not the whole touchpad. The left
side about 1/3 of the whole pad does not work and also the whole lower side. Does someone experienced this kind of issues?

That does speak to an issue in the touchpad itself. The connector is just a USB connection so it's not like it can partially fail.

Yes Indeed it was the Touchpad PCB. I removed it and cleaned it with alcohol and now it's fine. Thank you.

Did you notice any corrosion? Did you have liquid ingress?

No, nothing of this except of a few dust particles. Seems like the PCB wasn't firmly connected to the touchpad itself as one side of the PCB was a little bit loose so i suppose
    there wasn't proper contact.

So it was more a physical thing of placement, interesting. They are quite sensitive to that, it would mess with it.

Looks like I'm a bit unlucky with the clevos as you already replied to my other thread "Clevo P370SM-A / XMG P724 Disassembly Help".
Two clevos and both with touchpad issues. Very strange.

It is, it's not something that seems to have come up a lot.
