R2 always was the smarter one. The little guy doesn't get enough credit.

    Thanks Chaz! That was interesting.

BTW, have you guys heard about the new star wars game? It's going to take place between ep 3 and 4. Aparantly Vader gets his own secret apprentice, trains him to hunt down the rest of the Jedi and tries to overthrow the emperor.
I've read that they've actually been working with Lucas some on the plot.

There will be multiple endings, including one where you kill the emperor. I'm hoping this further explains why Vader didn't go all nuts on Palpatine.

My theory about Vader not turning on Palpatine has been, for quite a long time (sometime shortly after episode 1 came out), is that Palpatine is somehow keeping Vader alive through the force. Some of the discussions in episode 3 just act to confirm my theory :D

    Twilight,

I don't know the name of the book. My brother is the Star Wars fan. He has like 10 different lightsabers and a moderate collection of toys and seems to be famous in our country cause sometimes people from other cities would come to my house and gawk at his toys .... anyway, Chaz already confirmed what I said is true. He probably can give you the name of the novel, as to what R2 revealed, it was what happened at Ep3, where Anakin force-choked Padme, that's what I remember he said anyway.

What about the fact that in Episode VI, Leia says that she remembers her mother (Luke asked her). She says she doesn't remember much but she does remember her!
In episode III we know that her mother dies after giving birth!

    Explain that! :p

Thats one of those "Lucas you're an idiot" moments that are very common in the prequel.

Though Twilight is right, lol, that was explained later as Leia used the force unconsciously to see Padme. That's what I've heard.

Ya, I'm not sure it's a mistake by lucas.. She doesn't outright say she remembers growing up with her.. just "thoughts...feelings really" Like zicky says.. it's probably a force thing leia didn't realize was happening. But do the books disagree or contradict it?
