Is that in the films or just assumed? I mean c3po's memory being erased.

Then I'll assume they're not real star wars and ignore them.

We see someone give the order to erase C3PO's memory.

I wouldnt ignore the novels. They're pretty good. Some of them may not be recognized by Lucas, but some are considered Star Wars "cannon."

I noticed I spelled George's last name the same as my friend Lukas in the last post :p lol

Bail Organa (played by Jimmy Smits) orders 3PO's memory wiped as he leaves with baby Leia at the end of episode 3.

Personally, I'll take the novels (though i've not read them) over most of the crap Lucas did in the prequel trilogy.
(and the word is "canon". your word is for shooting things. ;) )

I remember my brother saying once that R2 DID reveal to Luke and Leia what he knew about Padme but it was like 30ish years after Episode IV it seems, but he did it as an accident, very alike to when he revealed Leia's message in Ep. IV. R2 knows the Tatooine ranch but I never understood why only C3PO's mind was wiped and not his ... I assume it has to be with the fact he can't talk but he can project recorded images .. I still don't see the logic of it though.

Really? It must one of the New Jedi Order books that I don't read. There seems to be a technical issue about knowing information about the Prequel trilogy well before the films came out. I don't think Lucas gave out any information about his ideas on EP 1,2, & 3 until literally months before each film was released.

If what you are saying happened, then I could see one reason. C3PO is a protocol droid, and would be considered to be "more human" than astromech droids, such as R2, which are used mostly for controlling ships. Although R2 can "speak" I guess they don't consider him a valuable source of information, the way 3PO might. So to keep continuity, he may have not had his memory wiped.

I do remember the novel where R2-D2 revealed information about Luke & Leia's mother. It was an accident, yes; R2-D2 was extremely uncooperative about it, I can't bring myself to remember the ending. I'll have to go back and read. He really didn't want to give up that information and tried to destroy it.

There are a few novels where Luke's mother is mentioned; Luke actively searches in one or two. Leia doesn't actively participate in the searches for the most part, although Luke does go into Leia's memory using newly discovered Force techniques (with her permission of course) to get info.
