So... A few of the cars im gona look at this week are spoiler-less.
Call me any thing you want... but i like spoilers (not super ricy wings though xD)

    So...

There is another Lancer im gona look at (same year, not the sketch one though)
    Which is spoiler-less.

So... I'm just going to use this car as an example for my question:

I can get an OEM one (actually, i think it is a re-make of the OEM, not 100% sure) on ebay for like $90 shipped. But, there are some "generic" ones (not specifically for any car) that are ok looking, and the ones off of the older ones are cool too.

    So, my stupid question is:
Can I put ANY spoiler on the ("the" being what ever car i get if it does not have one) car as long as the spoiler is big/small enough for it?

Ex: 02 Lancer spoiler on 04 Lancer; 08 Spoiler one 02 ect.

P.S. Please no one talk about how they are useless and it'd eb a waste of $100, i like the look :D

Yes, any sized spoiler can fit THOUGH you will have to measure the length to make sure it'll fit on the trunk.

Are you going to attach it yourself or go to a dealer?

Short answer, yes. (even if it's too big and ugly as hell, there is always a way to fit it) :p

lol, i'll just do it my self, all i gotta do is drill 2-3 holes (carefully)
A dealer will prob ask like another $100 for putting it on.

Actually.... any one have any idea what it would cost to just get it from the dealer? (if any one has any experiance with that) that would be good to know because if i can buy it from them but they install it for like $50-$60 more, i'd rather do that than ebay
lol, don't worry, it won't be too big or redic. :p

Drill the holes carefull and use rubber stops to make sure water doesn't get in when leaked, cause its going to cause some pains if it does(rust + leaks).

It looks like the retail price for a "Mitsubishi Genuine Accessory" rear wing spoiler is around $350 from the dealer! Dealers charge insane prices for add-ons such as this. I've seen Honda dealers price them as high as $595 on the window sticker of a new Civic...definitely overpriced!

It might be a good idea to get the dealer to install it, even if it might cost a bit more money. If anything goes wrong, you can blame it on them and it won't cost you a thing. :p
