    1) I will order the x360 this week, however I am still unsure to go for the QHD or not, since there are (almost, found one) absolutely no reviews of that version I wonder why. The German site notebookinfo.de claim that the brightness of the QHD version is very (too) low, averaging at 221 cd/m2. Can anyone confirm there numbers? What is your experience? May it be possible that the screen supplier differs from country to country? I'm living in Switzerland.

    2) based on feedbacks in this forum, it seems that the battery using the QHD looses 1.5 -2 h. Is this confirmed, even after the software / processor optimizations discussed here?

I had the x360 w/QHD briefly (2-3 days) and did find the screen too dim for my usage. I returned it for a few reasons (touchpad was not always registering clicks, screen too dim, some apps didn't handle the QHD scaling well...fuzzy). I am staying with my MBP 13 Retina.

I ended up getting the FHD model and the brightness is noticeably better. Didn't have the QHD long enough to judge battery life but others have reported the battery to be better on the FHD.

I just got the i7 QHD model. You guys are nuts regarding the brightness. Unless you are using the laptop in direct sunlight, in which no screen is any good, then the brightness is perfect!

Yes, I keep it pretty much at full brightness, but I am sitting in an outside screened in porch and it is completely 100% great to use. Also, super sharp! I also really haven't run into any scaling issues YET.

Can't judge battery yet, but haven't had any issues. I am not a road warrior so have to need for crazy battery life, but my initial impression at full normal use seems like around 7-8 hours, however unconfirmed.

What is a good battery app?

I'd say this is all subjective. Full brightness on QHD is uncomfortable to my eyes and that means more to me than some reviewer's benchmark numbers.
