    This evening Elon Musk confirmed the date of the Falcon Heavy launch.
    February 6th is the target window with a back up date the following day.
    Not only is SpaceX looking to launch the Heavy but they will also land the three boosters!

    Yesterday Rocket Labs successfully launched their Electron rocket into orbit carrying test satellites. The Electron is small cheap rocket which uses a 3D Printed engine, Electrically driven pumps and composite fuel tanks. All features which are new to orbital launch vehicles.

    It would make sense to me if they did that. Waste of good materials otherwise, and if the corrode and leak fuel a pollutant.

    NASA Conducts 2nd RS-25 Engine Hot Fire of 2018

    A 365-second hot fire test on Feb. 1, 2018, at NASA’s Stennis Space Center in Mississippi marks the completion of “green run” testing, or flight certification, for all new RS-25 engine flight controllers slated for Exploration Mission-2, the first Space Launch System mission with astronauts on board. In addition to the flight controller, the Feb. 1 hot fire also marked the third test of a 3D printed pogo accumulator assembly for the RS-25 engine.

    'World's Smallest Satellite Launcher' Puts Cubesat Into Orbit

    A 10 pounds (3 kilograms) cubesat called TRICOM 1R was launched by a Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) SS-520-5 rocket on Feb. 2, 2018. The rocket is "just 31 feet (9.5 meters) tall and spanning around 20 inches (52 centimeters) in diameter," according to JAXA. Learn more about JAXA:

    Launch of a CubeSat by Japanese SS-520 Rocket

    On 3rd of February 2018 the 5th flight of an ultra-compact SS-550 launch vehicle successfully placed the TRICOM-1R, cubesat into orbit. The SS-520 is a modified sounding rocket and is designed to launch small satellites, Launch occurred at 14:03:00 JST (05:03:00 GMT) from Japan's Uchinoura Space Centre.
