    Good morning,
I purchased on eBay this wonderful jewel with the configuration following:
    • Processor: 400 Mhz Intel Pentium II
    • Memory: 64 MB
    • Graphics: Neomagic AV256 2.5MB
    • OS: Windows 2000 SP4
    • Storage: 80 GB HDD
and I tought to upgrade the hard disk by purchasing a more "modern" hybrid SSD as the PATA KingSpec 256GB 2.5-inch PATA/IDE SSD Solid State Disk (MLC Flash) SM2236 Controller.

Now the problem is if I go in the BIOS this unit is recognized by if I select the value all are ones reported than the real size of the SSD.
If I set AUTO nothing is done and when I try to install the operating system I get error messages (as hdd not found and similar).

Which one is the maximum supported HDD size? How can I use it?

    thanks!!!

KingSpec SSDs are garbage, just get a mSATA-IDE converter and a mSATA SSD, preferably one that isn't bigger than 120GB because LBA.

Using drive overlay software might help.
