Sony Vaio Grv215sp Laptop Problem

    Iam getting below message and not able to login to windows.

    a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damange to your computer.
    If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen
    appears again, follow these steps.

    check to be sure you have adequate diskspace. if a driver is identified in the stop message.
    disable the driverof checkwith the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adaptors

    check with your hardware vendor for any bios updates. Disable bias memory option such
    as catching or shadowing. if u need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart
    press f8 to select advanced start up option and than select safe mode.

    If i open in safe mode i will get the below message
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\drivers\intelide.sys


    This laptop was formatted without using the sony recovery cd.

    Please let me know is this because of that?

    How to recover my laptop to normal condition?

    Blue Screens of Death (BSoD) can have numerous causes.

    (on my SZ Windows Update messed up the EOS driver, I turned the camera on... BSoD, Kaspersky caused problems too, now their gone as if by magic)

    You could try to reinstal the driver, you know which one it is: "intelide.sys"
    (See Google, something to do with Intel)

    Else, unless you've generated your own recovery disk or left the recovery partition the only things I can think of is:
    do a clean instal
    Buy a recovery disc from Sony

    Old thread but if the OP is still hanging around, and still needs a fix. I think I got know the fix, but it's going to be a long confusing process.
    Reply if you want to know the steps.

    One of fastest way to fix BSOD if this will a be Software issue is System restore using f10. If try that already and reformat the system and still the same issue that for service already.
