Sony PCG-K13 ?? how is the laptop ...

    I am looking at

    a Toshiba Celeron 2.8
    and a
    Sony K-13 2.8 p4

    i would like to hear from someone who has one . have you been happy . any problems ???



    the screen is awsome looking . but i am curious as to everyday operation ... how is the glare factor.. anyone ???

    My niece bought this model about one month ago. This notebook looks cheap. The latch slides to open the LCD was broken after several tries. The AC ADAPTER is as big & heavy as a brick (looks ugly too). LCD screen is a little bright, needs to adjust to lower glare every time the computer turned on. She returned the laptop 3 days later.

    Performance wise, it's pretty decent. Then again, theres only so much playing around you can do in a Circuit City. I have a 2.4ghz machine so I imagine performance on applications like Office or Photoshop would only be that much better.

    Style wise...the thing is ugly. Everytime I see a picture of it, I have visions of Martha Stewart writing a book called "The Joys of Mobile Computing: Housewife Edition". There's just something about it...
