Software to use Laptop as monitor?

    nope. you need hardware to do that.

    Not exactly sure what you mean here, but if you want to use a spare laptop as a second monitor on your system, try this:

    Multi Monitor - Dual Monitor - KVM switch

    I tried this for a while several years ago and it seemed to work ok. However, I ended up buying a second monitor, so I didn't need a software approach.
