Is there a way to program your email (Gmail or corporate Outlook) so that a particular message you send will be deleted after the recipient reads it?

As far as I can tell e-mails are never actually deleted. Even with the accounts I've had for years and I know I pressed the 'delete' button on specific messages, soon as I put that e-mail on a new client then all my deleted messages reappear. Its the digital age, everything is forever.

I showed this thread to our network analyst and asked how we could go about implementing it.

He laughed. Laughed real hard. We both did.
