    No biggy, I wasn't having a go, just suggesting it belongs in a bigger general thread.

    Ill post up how my 120hz install goes once the panel and cable arrive (I'll also be bios modding and flashing at the same time)

    Panel has arrived, cable on its way. It is the TFB1 version as I ordered, connector looks like it's in the right place

    1080p60 is utterly wasted on this setup, GTA5 runs completely maxed with the GPUs at 30-40%, most of the time downclocked to around 900-1000MHz

    All versions of nvflash I have found are being a pain, -6 doesn't get past device ID incompatibility error.

    Currently shows as 10DE,1BA1,1558.0371
    vBIOSes I want to flash are 10DE,1BE1,1462.11FF, signed MSI versions, 86.04.5B.00.3A and the .8A which disables Boost 3.0

    FYI, saved vBIOS information is 10DE,1BA1,1462.11C2, 86.04.25.00.41
    (1462.11C2 shows up absolutely nowhere, I assume it's G65VR)

    It would be nice to know the stock vBIOSes work to save extra disassemble/hardware flash/reassemble cycles

    Use a chip programmer.

    1BA1 = Gsync version
    1BE1 = non-Gsync
    why do you want a non-G version?:eek:

    I'm aware of the 3rd party bandwidth issue I will get around to uploading everything on a different hoster soon.

    I'm not sure where you get that info from, the vBIOS are for 1070's in the GT73VR - every one of the various screen options it comes with are gsync

    Also the P370EM is a 2012 model - pre-gsync - the only relevant point here is whether it works or not (and when I get to VBIOS editing I'd rather start with the latest version)

    For example:
    970M with Gsync = 1618
    970M with no-G = 13D8
    980M G = 1617
    980M no-G= 13D7
    1060 G = 1C60
    1060 no-G =1C20

    at least for these i'm sure the ID meant whether they comes with Gsync or not.
    i have a GTX 980 mobile (161A Gsync, i can use a 13DA non-gsync version and there would be no Gsync option in NVIDIA control)

    But ya, i dont think P370EM supports Gsync anyways, so it probably doesnt matter

    Yes the P370EM will never driver sign properly.

    Ugh. Tried flashing the vbios to the official MSI version 86.04.42.00.03 (latest I could find for 1BA1 1070) using the latest nvflash 5.370 (not the OEM stripped nvflash included with the firmware does that make a difference?)

    Couldn't install drivers even after a complete scrub with DDU. Did a --compare with the rom file written - mismatch at the same offset in both GPUs.

    Wrote the original BIOS file back to each GPU - mismatch again at a certain offset on each compared to the rom just written to each card! - but the original drivers installed again ok.

    Looks like I wasted the time spent trying to save time ... I'll just have to manually flash with a programmer each time anyway

    Hopefully an edited version of that vBIOS flashed by programmer works so I have upped power limits and unlocked power/temp sliders
