@JCrichton, in your pics, it appears you took off the rubberized grip on the m18x lid. How and why did you do that?

CEK is right. It's also very likely that the flash on my phone simply washed out much of the color. :)

My bad guys, after taking a closer look i realize my mistake. It blends in even better than the black r2 did with its grip

I have the Orion 18" case for my M18x. It is a very tight fit. There is no extra room in the laptop slot. I always put the microfiber sleeve on the laptop before putting it in the bag. But I am sure this defeats the checkpoint requirements of the laptop being visible when the bag is open. It is so tight, it will be a pain and slowdown when going through an airport checkpoint.

The point of the bag is to speed up airport security time....just completely unzip that compartment and butterfly the bag open

I'll echo this. My TSA approved M17x Orion Bag works great for what scook is saying and the M18x fits just fine! :D

Agreed on unzipping and flopping it open. I thought they had to be able to see the laptop in the bag. The microfiber sleeve that I use is the one it was shipped in. They cannot see through the sleeve. Or maybe I misunderstand what they need to see? I would hate to carry the M18x in the bag without the sleeve as it is such a tight fit.
