Also BE is a bigger number than BA.

Looks like that. But according to intel docs the latest ucode is BA for i7 6700hq. You can use the above posted link in previous posts and apply it to see if it changes anything after reboot.

I used to use that before MSI released BA a few months ago. Then 3 or 4 days ago MSI released BE with their new bios.

Seems only the later laptops are getting the microcode updates.

I seem to be having trouble unpacking this file. Could you reupload it? Also i tried to use the VMware CPU Microcode updater tool together with the last file from intel website. But when i click the install.bat (as admin) i get a message saying i need the AMD package as well? Why do i need this if i have a intel processor? (i7 7700HQ) Also if i DO need it where do i get it and wich one do i need? When i check my Microcode version with HWinfo it's version 5E do i even need this update? Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

Looks fine to me, I've already included AMD and Intel ucodes. With KabyLake CPUs the OEM already issued fixes as BIOS updates.

Thx! By using 7zip i managed to unpack your file. I also ran the update but nothing changed in my version Number for CPU Microcode it's still 5E. I guess that's newest for me.

Edit: btw where can i actually check if i have the latest version?
