I don't know about everybody else, but a pet peeve of mine is one that seems to be happening more frequently every day - people using apostrophes in plurals. It started out with abbreviations - "CPUs" would become "CPU's" - but has now moved on to everyday words, with people putting "kid's" instead of "kids" and "dog's" instead of "dogs". I've even seen it in professional advertisements. Is the world of grammar changing, or do people just not care anymore?

plural's need apostrophes when they are possessive. Don't just stick apostrophes at the end of all plural word's.

i don't know the accepted rule for plural abbreviations, but i assume the apostrophe does not belong there, either.

Advertisements misuse the apostrophe all the time.

It's mildly annoying. What really bothers me is people who are trying to say "you're" but instead say "your".

I'm quite shocked to see the amount of native English speakers who cannot use you're/your properly.
