Ahh ok, shouldn't be too hard to figure out... I'm sure there's a thread about it on here.

Probably, I've only worked with a few 770 attempts and they never got any level of success. Something to do with the R3 not having UEFI or a compatibility mode, introduced with the R4.

You do not need any bios mod though with a 120hz panel.

As for the heatsink I simply purchased one from Dell (the R4/680m one will suffice in all cases), complete with pads and paste pre-applied. Simple job to just assemble but it's another cost...

Ok so I broke down and bought a 765m for a great price(brand new).
I'm gonna just hope for the best when it gets here. If not I'll resell it and put the money towards a 680m.

Good luck with it, IIRC the 765m is a 50w card so only needs a two pipe heatsink.

Depends greatly on heatpipe. If you get really big ones 2 can even cool down a 100W card.

I'm pretty sure I have a 3 pipe heatsink, I didn't pay too much attention to it when I was re-pasting lol. That also was the first time I opened her up too. But I'll definitely let you guys know when she comes in the mail. Not the best card but should be a lot better in performance compared to the 460 right?

How much did this laptop initially cost you?

I got it for $390 on eBay. Near perfect condition. Not a single scratch. If I knew more about AW's at the time I woulda shot for something a little newer but I'm gonna work with what I got for now. That's a good price though right?

For sure, at least the latest titles will be playable, with a little tuning :), I'll be waiting to hear how it goes...

I'll have a few questions ready when it and the new thermal pads get here. I have two tubes of Arctic MX-4 in stock lol.
