I'll post mine just as soon as I boot Ubuntu.

Edit: Could some moderator change the title, please? The  thing didn't work.

Thanks. I see you take the minimalist approach.

Wow, that's pretty tricked out.

I like it. The icons in the top panel look a little cluttered, but I really like the background; tropical/beach wallpapers are usually a major faux pas in my book, but this one is classy.

Wow. I guess I had no idea how much theming is available in Linux. :p

    Sexy, ain't it! LOL

I'm lucky the system works; haven't worried to much about changing the desktop. After seeing some of those posted here, though, may have to try something more original, if not better. :D

srunni: very sharp desktop. And I've tried Gentoo. I couldn't get that distro up and running to save my soul! I tried with the 2007 Live CD version, which, the last time I looked had been deleted from the options because it had so many problems. Not that it mattered in my own case. I had it and a 2006 version. Both were way too much for my meager intellect. LOL

Just changing the background to something like mine really adds something.

Well I must admit I'm a bit of a resolution junky. I suppose I could have created an Apple like dock, but I really like to have as much resolution as I can for surfing. Putting them up there seemed the best solution. When I'm using it, it seems normal.
