In my Lenovo R61 Windows-7 programs-listing no Uninstall option is offered for removing Thinkvantage Fingerprint Reader software (unlike other programs in that same dropdown list - some of which do offer uninstall). It's as if some backroom autocrats decided to disable its removal, perhaps because they intertwined it with other programs. On shouldiremoveit.com i see that many other systems don't even install FingerprintReader. So if i'd download the shouldiremoveit uninstall software would the latter safely get around the barriers put out by Thinkvantage, and safely remove it? The reason i wanted to remove it, is because my system forced a shutdown, due to an error-message related to the fingerprint reader, and in any case it's taking up needless room on my limited HDD despite my not needing or using it.
