    I got a DV2500T.

I upgraded the Drivers of the video card and my shared ram is something ridiculous like 767MB.
How do I lower this? I thought it would be in the bios so i went bios and there are no options WHAT SO EVER in the bios. Just a Hard drive diagnosis and Memory diagnosis.
    what did HP do?

Are you relying on the Vista 'shared graphics memory' information. If so then there is nothing to worry about since this is just going to be used only when necessary and that portion of RAM is available for other applications when the GPU doesnt require it. Its is not solely dedicated to the graphics card. This is controlled by the graphics driver(turbo cache), so you wont find any option in the BIOS.

As for as the CPU usage is concerned look through the task manager and see what is using up the cpu cycles. It would most likely be a sidebar gadget or an application doing something in the background.

Thats how they have been for a long time with a few exceptions. Basically they dont want to deal with support/service issues from people who mess up their systems snooping around in the BIOS.

i have the nvidia 7150 intergrated. when you look at ur pc details it might say dedicated 64mb. i went into the bios and changed it from 64mb to 128mb. it gives three options 32 mb,64mb and 128mb.
