    Hello,
I was hoping someone could point me to a service manual for this laptop. Not much on Google. This laptop appears dead and I want to get down to the motherboard for some tests. I've taken all the back screws out and the screws in the top cover, removed the keyboard, HDD, Ram, battery and it does pry apart to some extent but the motherboard appears to be attached to the palm rest (upper) panel still and I can't see how the LCD panel is attached. I have taken many laptops apart but follow guides in manuals and videos as a rule. I can't find one for this laptop and I don't want to force anything. Has anybody here taken one apart? Grateful for advice.

Edit: I looked at the list of disassembly postings this site has thanks to one of its members - great work cj2600. As a result I now realise that the motherboard is attached to the top cover of this notebook.

Hi AlexUW, The laptop is about 18 months old. Won't boot at all. I'm hoping it is something simple like a poorly soldered plug. Thanks for the site it is actually the link I found on this site by cj2600. It has helped because now I know the motherboard is attached to the top cover unlike most laptops.
