I read of a patch for SD cards over 1GB. Have any of you seen such a critter. I have been searching the Pana sites with no joy. I removed and restored SD Utility 1.5V10 in \Util, set bios to defaults. Switched ports on and off. Removed/re-enabled in Device Manager. Comes up DEVICE READY FOR USE. No show in My Computer.

I don't have a smaller card to test with at this time. Any other ideas?

CF-18NHHMBBM The one with the new Touch Screen. Using SANDISK SDHC 4GB.
    Works in 29MK4 ,5 and CF-30.

My memory is vague but I think it was CAP who first cued us in on the card limitation (and/or type?)... or was that in the 29??? Perhaps he'll chime in later.

SD is recognized but the mealy mouthed XP won't read cards that are formatted on another O.S. even those formatted for ANY O.S FAT32??. The Other OS will read anything. Hmmmmm, which OS will I use?

Is there a way to fool XP? I'm working on this, film at eleven. (People under 40 don't know what this means)

    Thanks TC,

    Jeff

Ya gotta love any site called antifart. Farts are bad. I think that needs to be in my sig.

I tend to be very persistent. I have
trouble knowing when to give up. I Google things to death. I should have chosen researching as a career.

Since SP3 worked I did not use your suggestion for my little problem. Maybe next time.

    Thank you though.

There is a Microsoft patch which will solve the problem in SP2, it will definitely work on the CF-18 and the CF-29-30 if you chose to not upgrade to SP3. I have it if any one needs it. Its an OS issue, not a driver issue. Looked it up: MS Hotfix "WindowsXP-KB934428-v3x86"

Thanks CAP. I'll stick a copy of your post in the Now Why Didn't I Think of That since it's cross platform.

Is this a custom mod done inside the case? If so, and you take pics along the way, I would be VERY interested in seeing them! I love seeing what you guys come up with and how you do it!!
