Here goes short to long. Looking for right driver/software for Backlight Keyboard.

We upgrade my nephew laptop to Windows 7 Pro x64 and he found the driver to light the backlight keyboard but doesn't recall which driver or where you got it. I tried different steps from Toshiba:

But can't find this on the site or what driver version this is? I read couple places to find the software to turn the backlight on with using FN+Z but like to find where this software version is?

I am Fresh installatin of Windows 10x64 Pro with Win7 drivers as I don't trust W8(8.1) drivers. So does anyone know where I can find or location that version? I don't know if this is the software that is used to turn on the backlight keyboard. And yes this comes with backlight keyboard so others saying it's not don't respond asking such question. I already dissemble and cleaned out the system and fans to know it has it.

Why dont you trust Win8/8.1 drivers?

Its usually called Toshiba Flash Cards, its the driver that enabled all the Fn+X functionality in Win7, on Win8/10 almost everything works on a fresh install, if not, grab the flash cards software for either 8.1 or 7.

Also, Toshibas usually auto turn on the backlight on key presses and then turn it off after X seconds, it can be configured on the BIOS, take a peek in there.

Really it's called that I would say that is odd way to name such a function. But are you sure this is the driver/software that I need to download? I checked the BIOS and I tried that and that didn't work. I recheck and there is no such "Toshiba Flash Cards" driver for 8/8.1 listed. This is also another reason I don't use 8/8.1 driver/software they would seems to not support it nor have the software listed there either.

Well I tried that and nothing but the light on the touchpad indicator and "Satellite" lights up and that is all that it does. It does say keyboard backlight on but it doesn't light up and give me a time duration but nothing. There has to be another driver to turn that keyboard light on since all other lights seems to turn on.

I am starting to suspect it's has something to do with Windows 10 and how it handles custom FN keys and how they work. But I will keep trying.
