Is the above the right setup I need to upgrade a WLED M6500 with the FirePro M7820 to RGB LED? Stole the display out of my battered M6400 Covet (side note, holy fuarrrk that Edge to Edge display is a PITA to remove without damage!) and apprently it was a 0RM244 display, which according to Parts-People should work in the M6500.

Also ordered the cable off eBay and I am waiting on it to arrive.

Question remains however: will all this fit plug 'n play without blowing my GPU or mobo up?

I can confirm that the RM244 display fits perfectly in the lid of a stock silver M6500. Can't test it however because I don't have the proper RGBLED cable yet.

And I can also confirm that all you need to upgrade a M6500 with the 1920x1200 WLED display to the RGBLED display is the 0RYF89 cable and a 0RM244 display from a M6400 Covet or M6500 Covet, it's plug and play.

Holy fuarrrk, the colors are insanely vivid compared to the WLED display!
